We are seeking a full- or part-time Associate Veterinarian to join our privately owned small animal practice in Philadelphia. Our mission is simple: provide high-quality, affordable veterinary care to an underserved community while building lifelong relationships with our clients and patients.

About Our Hospital
Located in one of Philadelphia’s fastest-growing neighborhoods, our hospital has proudly served the community for more than 50 years. While our roots run deep, our facility and medical approach are modern, progressive, and continuously evolving.
We are open six days a week and primarily appointment-based, though our doctors routinely manage urgent and emergency cases throughout the day. This is an ideal environment for veterinarians who thrive in a fast-paced setting and enjoy a mix of preventive care, internal medicine, surgery, and emergency treatment.
One moment you may be discussing preventive wellness care, and the next performing an emergency C-section. Flexibility, confidence, and the ability to adapt quickly are essential.

This position is best suited for doctors who enjoy variety and want to expand both their medical and surgical expertise.
You’ll have opportunities to perform procedures ranging from routine spays and neuters to advanced soft tissue surgeries including:
- Pyometra surgeries
- Limb amputations
- Mastectomies
- Lateral ear resections
- Potential orthopedic experience
Mentorship and collaboration are encouraged, but the ability to work independently and manage multiple cases simultaneously is important.
We also value veterinarians who want to be active members of the community through outreach, education, blogging, and local events.
Preferred Skills & Qualifications
- DVM or equivalent degree from an accredited veterinary school
- Pennsylvania DEA and USDA licensing
- Dentistry experience including dental radiography
- Preventive and wellness care expertise
- Nutrition and behavior consultation experience
- Strong communication and client education skills
- Ability to manage high-volume caseloads efficiently
- Surgical proficiency in both routine and advanced procedures
- Interest in exotic, avian, or pocket pet medicine is a plus
- Comfortable utilizing technology and visual tools to enhance client education
- Professional demeanor and appearance
