Dr. Jagat Podduturi – Veterinarian/Owner

Dr. Jagat Podduturi is the new practice owner for the Pet Health Center of Philadelphia. The Torch has being passed from Dr. Rude to Dr. James Wilson to me. He has degree in veterinary medicine from India and a Masters degree in immunology and virology from LSU- health sciences center in Louisiana. Dr. Podduturi was a researcher before becoming a clinician. He did research in Human Cytomegalous virus. He has worked as emergency veterinarian for 7 years before getting into general practice. He has treated medical and surgical conditions in dogs, cats and exotics. His special interests are in surgery and internal medicine with a focus on critical cases. Dr. Podduturi strongly believes that the health, quality of life and longevity of a pet lies in regular well visits and he is very excited to be part of the lives of pets cared for at the pet health center and be able to provide the care they deserve.

Dr. Podduturi lives with his wife (who is also a veterinarian practicing integrative medicine in Yarldey, Pa), his two children and his fur child “taffy” a calico. In his spare time he likes to go on jogs, do gardening and do fun activities with his kids.
